Sunday Life Classes - 9:30 A.M.
Welcome to our Sunday Life Classes. We meet at 9:30 each Sunday morning. We have a variety of classes geared to each age level – from children to adults. Each class has a foundation that is rock solid on Biblical truths.

Sunday Morning Service - 11:00 A.M.
You can expect to interact with God through praise opportunities. You can also expect to be challenged from the Word of God each time we meet. The preaching of God's Word is the center point of all of our worship services. You are also invited to worship with us through times of prayer. Altar prayers are common in our worship services, both for cleansing our hearts and for the lifting up of the lost in our community. Tithes and offerings are received in each service. Come experience God!

Wednesday Midweek Connection - 12:00 P.M. & 7:00 P.M.
Join us for our interactive classes, workshops and activities the entire family will enjoy!
12:00 P.M. - Wisdom Bible Study
7:00 P.M - Digital Bible Study

There are many excellent churches in our area. Finding the one that fits your comfort zone takes time and effort. In your search, we would love for you to be our guest and experience our service. Let me give you seven reasons you should check out Peoples Community Church of Westland:

1) It’s a fresh start on Sundays
Many of us wish we had the opportunity to make a fresh start – to discover a place where we are accepted and can grow. Perhaps you went to church in the past and have gotten out of the habit. If it’s time for you to jump back in, Peoples Community Church is ready to help you make that fresh start.

2) You’ll be accepted.
It doesn’t matter where you have been or what you have done, we would love to have you be a part of our church. In fact, we know it’s not where you’ve been but where you end! We will accept you for who you are; challenge you to grow; then celebrate your victorious end in Christ!

3) We like to have fun!
We think church shouldn’t be boring. We like to laugh, cut up and have a good time . . . in fact, we believe that God wants us to enjoy life and to celebrate it to the fullest!

4) People dress for comfort.
There’s no dress code. If you like to dress down –- go for it. If you like to dress up, great –- just come as you are. We don’t care what you look like on the outside, we care about what happens on the inside.

5) The service moves.
We put a great deal of thought and planning into our service so that when you come, you will be engaged in worship, welcomed with love, and your time redeemed.

6) We’re not churchy – but we love church!
We’re just real people who are looking for an authentic relationship with God and with others. We explain the teachings of the Bible in a user-friendly way through our Stimulating Christian Education classes for adults, Action-Packed classes for our teens, Thrilling classes for our children, a Tantalizing nursery School for our babies, and Dynamic worship for ALL each Sunday . . . Yes, we are 4-Generations in 1 Church!

7) We love children and teenagers.
We see them as a vital link to the church! Children’s church is held in the Junior Chapel whereby they learn and grow and develop spiritually. We have exciting programs and activities for children and youth every week.

So . . . what are you waiting for?  Visit Us This Sunday!

“I love my church! The first time I stepped into Peoples Community Church, I knew that I was in the right place, said Lisa Allen, 35, a divorcee and mother of two daughters (Monty, 12, and Cameron 5), she admits that when she came to PCBC, she had a lot of emotional baggage. She had some disappointing experiences at a previous church, and it discouraged her from moving forward with her life. “Now, at PCBC, I’m back ready to join the mission and get involved. I look forward to attending church services…the congregation is so supportive…I feel at home at Peoples Community. I’m addicted to church!  L.A. – Inkster, MI

Nicole Smith, 19, is a sophomore psychology major attending Wayne State University. She’s been a long time member of Peoples Community. “I grew up at Peoples Community, it feels like a second home,” shared Nicole. Commenting about her beloved pastor, Smith shared, “I love Pastor Matthews, I love to hear him preach!” She recalled one particular sermon that really resonated with her, when Matthews preached about “Get A Life!” Why did this sermon impact her so much? “God is willing to accept you back when you make mistakes. This is an important message for young people because we make a lot of mistakes,” said Smith. She boasts about Peoples Community Vacation Bible School, because youth get to learn a lot about historical events and other unique Biblical facts that you may not hear during church service. She encourages youth citywide to attend Peoples Community “Youth Explosion”...happening…..the second Sunday of every month! N.S. – Canton, MI

Mother Williams, 61, has been a member of People Community since being baptized in her childhood. “We go beyond the church walls to touch the lives of the people in the community,” shared Williams. She’s proud that the mature saints of Peoples Community reach out to mentor the newer members. When asked to explain why PCBC has become popular with youth and senior saints, Williams proudly replied, “Peoples Community is a multi-generational church, we give the message of Christ! We deal with contemporary issues!” L.W. – Detroit, MI

C. Adams, 53, has been a member for three years. I have joined a community of believers. People are very friendly, and they really show you how much they care. This church has brought so much joy in my life! I can’t wait until the next Sunday! Peoples Community Church will change your life. I drive 45 min. one way for worship and fellowship, twice a week! I Love my church! C.A. – Southfield, MI

“Pastor Matthews is an awesome Pastor, my husband and I have grown spiritually, my whole family is growing spiritually under Pastor Matthew’s leadership,” shared Sis. Hayes. For Hayes, her spiritual growth is credited to better understanding of Biblical doctrine, “Pastor (Matthews) breaks the Word down so easily ... I have learned how to demonstrate the love of God.” S. H. – Westland, MI
